Merman part 13

"The Four Wives and Queens of King Athelaus".

Back then when King Athelaus was young, he only had one wife. He love his wife so much and be faithful to her. Many hundred years but still they didn't have child. There were 10th of giant squids attacked the mer-Kingdom. The King and Queen Mer were fought together. The King tried to protect his wife from Giant squids and risk his life, instead The Queen was protecting her King and lost both of her eyes. But they did won the battles and all the squids were dead.

After the battle, the Queen realized that the King must have heir. So she told him what she thought. The King rejected The Queen proporsal. He only love his dearly wife and won't take another. But The Queen didn't like rejection so she was more be persuasive.

"If you wanted so much, than you shall find me one," said the King while he continued with his Kingdom paperworks and The Queen agreed. The King was surprised but kept silent. He was so sure, the Queen jealousy will stop her for looking his new wife.

But the Queen did not stop. She love him so much and she wanted children for heir. She knew that the King already prepared to step down from the throne rather he have to be married again and hurt the Queen's feeling.

That night, she found one, she heard the woman sing. On a low cliff of rocks on the beach. She swam slowly and listen, and somehow she like her. So she grabbed her and dragged her into the Ocean. The Queen bite her and Kiss her so her poison could turned her into mermaid.

The King so surprised when he saw the new girl that his Queen brought.

"This shall be your new wife," said the Queen of Mermen and Mermaids very firmly and proud to herself.

"My Dear sweet of Queen. Do you asked her who is she belong to? I don't want to marry with some one else bride," said the King with the patient voice. He didn't know wether to angry or laugh.

The Queen realised and asked the girl with her thought - telephatic.

The girl look terrified and bow.

"Please please, I already being punished by Queen Titania over her jealousy. The Queen thought I seduced her husband, her King Oberon. Now I can't hear voices, any voices. I only have my voice to sing but even I can't hear my own," said she with tears.


The Queen start to cried. She knew that her husband going to reject her wish. Her pearls of tears run down from her cheecks. The King hugged her tight.

"Please..please do not cry. I'll do anything for you to stop this cry," said the King of Merman.

"So you agree then..," said the Queen of Mer in bout of tears.

The King raised his eyebrow suspiciously.

"But I don't want to mar.." The King can't finished his sentence because the Queen's cried.
"Okay..I'll marry her," said the King of Merman. The Queen of Mermen and Mermaids stop her crying and hugged her husband. He could felt her joy and happiness. He only wanted to see his Queen smile and happy.

One hundred years later, still have no children. The First Queen and The Second Queen now tried to find another girl. They search far until they heard the beautiful music from Gu-Zheng - chinesse music instrument.

A beautiful girl with round perfect face was playing it in the garden palace near the sea. Her green eyes was very contrast with her pale white milk skin. She have beautiful dark hair and sweet small red mouth.

"Is she beautiful?" said The First Queen with hope.
"Indeed she is. But Isn't she the daughter of East Ocean Dragon King?" said the Second Queen worry.
"I don't want to start a war," said the Second Queen very worry although she's deft she could read lips.
"Alas, you're so timid. No wonder Titania play with you. Come' on, just dragged her. I need you to help me," said the First Queen. The Second Queen always obey her first Queen every orders without asked.

They Kidnapped the East Ocean Dragon'Kings daughter and brought her to the King of Mermen and Mermaids.

"WHOOAA!! I think I know her somewhere? Do you both want to adopt her as our daughter?" said the King and smile. He knew the East Ocean Dragon King's daughter when she was a little girl. But that was long time ago. But somehow he was sure, he knew the face somewhere. He smiled to the Princess as act of politeness. But the Dragon Princess fall-in-love in the first sight with the Merman King and she smiled back at him.

"Of course not! She will be your new wife!"said the Fisrt Queen stubbornly, and the second Queen nod with agreement.

"Honey, please no. I already have you two. I love you both and....no..no don't cry. I'll do...I'll do it, but I have to asked her father first," said the King of Merman and shaking his head. He can not let her two wives cried. He just hope the Princess's father would say No.

So the East Ocean Dragon came and talked to his daughter with sign of hands. He laughed and hugged his new son-in-law with happiness.King Athelaus was so surprised and he could barely speak.

"But I thought you're going to reject me? I have two wives here," said the King of Merman confused. The East Ocean Dragon King taps King AThelaus's shoulder.

"I have one thousand wives and only have one daughter and 99 sons, and you only have two wives. We're both King of Ocean in different regent. My daugter love you and you both have my blessing. My daughter is perfect in everyways, except she can not speak and please take care of her," said the Dragon King and hug his son-in-law. The King of Mermen and Mermaids speachless. So there'll be a huge wedding feast. The united of two kingdom.

Three hundreds years later, still have no children. The King told the Ocean guards to protected the Three Queens carefully and always watched them. He doesn't want to have another wife. He knew his first Queen will be wondered around searching another girl to be his wife because of her obsession wanting children as his heir.

What he didn't know, his third wives can play music that make people sleep even mer people. The Guards were sleep and The Three Queens of Mermen and Mermaids were escape.

They swam further to land. They swam in the river near the human village. There were so many people gathered in that river bank. They were holding torch. The Queens saw one girl tide in rope, put in cage and drown in to the river.

"If she survived then GOD helping her and she is not a witch,"said the elder of the village. They were waiting. The Girl never come up, so they left the river.

They didn't know that the Queens of Mermen and Mermaids were helping her. All of the Queens bites and Kissed her, and she turned into mermaid.

"Isn't she beautiful," said The Second Queen amased. The Third Queen take the first Queen hand and make sign in the first Queen's palm. and the First Queen was smiling. She was really happy although she could not see.

When they arrived in the Kingdom, The King already await them in the Throne room. He just shaking his head.

The first Queen swam to him and hugged him.

"If only you could Jeaolus like Titania to her Oberon," said the King whispers to his first wife ears.

"But I want children, your heir. You are my great King. You are kindness to your people that no other mer people could do. I won't let you give away your throne to someone else. I know you, My King, you are the wise one and the best,"said the Queen with whispered and bite his earlobe.

She laughed and swam away and then she nod. The Second Queen and The Third Queen came with a beautiful girl. Not mermaid, not fairy, but she was human.

"Let her to be the last one. Please Ladies, really, I don't need more wives," said the King and look into his other two wives eyes one by one.

"I know your father have thousand honey but I'm not like yor father. I love all of you! okay!" said the King nervous. The Third Queen smile and kissed him on the cheeck. The Second Queen swam over and kissed him on other cheecks, the first Queen give the King a kiss on his forehead.

There was a big wedding for the New Wife in the Mer Kingdom.

Not to long, all the wives of the King were pregnant. The King was so happy. The Mer people not given birth their babies. Usually the mermaid laid an egg and her merman husband nurtured the egg.The egg was round and transparent so you could see mer-embrio there. Just like human embrio inside the glassess orb. The Merman would took the egg and go to the some place safe. He stayed there until the young merman or mermaid was born. It was the merman husband task to give back the mer-children to their mother.

So when his four wives given him their four eggs, The King Athelaus brought all of them and nurtured them. The eggs were look the same. So he could not mark the eggs which egg belong to which Queen.

Many years later he had 13th daughters and 8th sons from his four wives. He didn't know which kids from which wives and the wives never care either. (If their human, they would have feeling about jealousy and greedy and such but They are not human, they are mer-people, only half human! )

They love their children, all of them. The children look like more of their father than their mother. They're all have the light blond hair, pale skins and blue eyes.

The King had made the wives lived separately because he was affraid that his wives would find another girl to be his another wives for more children or he affraid the his wives will go against each other. He build the castle on east, north, south and east for each of his queen. But that's not going to happen. All his wives always stay by his side and their children too. Somehow his wives never fought but the four queens relationship are more like sisters.

Now, it's not the wives that kept him worry but his children. All of his children were so fond with land. They ignored the King's story about The Little Mermaid. That was not tale from Grimm. The Little Mermaid wasn't dead. The Little Mermaid was his mother, the children grandmother.

"Mother! Please don't encourage them," said the King to his mother...
